Something that has really been impressed on me lately is that we should not despise small beginnings. My goal is to be a national touring Christian artist. But I have found that it is not just that easy. There is a WHOLE lot that I have to learn in order to be able to handle that responsibility. God is not going to give me something that I am not ready to handle yet. Things have been gradually moving forward and I have actually been enjoying the journey, not to mention learning so much from not only situations that I am presented, but learning from other musicians around me. So, no matter how "small" the task may seem, I still try to be on top of my game and give it my best, because you never know who God may have lead into that crowd of 2 at a performance. So, I leave you with this tonight... If you are faithful in the small things, God will take care of the big things.

Christmas already?
Man, It is really hard to believe that Christmas is NEXT week... This past year has just flown by. I think I am all ready for Christmas. I have all the gifts that I am going to be getting ready to go. The Christmas CD went so much better than first expected. God has really opened up doors for this ministry. The next step I think is to take a break from live gigs and focus on getting some more music ready in time for the summer. Looking forward to the slow down for a couple months. If you have not already gotten a chance to attend one of the Christmas performances there are still two left. This Sunday at Sugar Grove Community Church and next Sunday at Alethia Fellowship and Ministry Center. For more info check out the tour schedule at www.levimonk.com.

Something on my mind...
Something has been on my mind as of late. I have been just thinking about God's majesty. Think about it. All day and all night the entire creation is crying out and declares His mighty power. Whenever I look and see a river rushing mightily through the channel carved by it's powerful and constant motion, I think of the power, might of God. And when I look up and see the innumerable stars as they glisten against the backdrop of a deep, moon-lit sky I think about how small in the grand scheme of things that I really am. But yet, the Creator of the universe, the God who carved the valleys and built the majestic mountains, the Alpha and Omega, the One who, with the sound of His voice caused the world to become- loves ME. He, Lord of lords and King of kings, wants to spend time with me. How cool is that? Check this out from Zephaniah 3:17 NKJV, " The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing." Did you catch that? God loves us so much that He even sings about us. Take that into your day at work tomorrow and I guarantee that you will enjoy the day better. Be on the look out for things that God has blessed you with. Look out for the beauty in the creation around you.... He built this earth for us to live. And to top that all off, He sent Jesus. He sent His one and only Son to die for us so that we could spend an eternity with Him. Yeah, He's that good!
