As I look around me, there are many things that I could give attention to. A lot of them worthwhile. And I am the type that wants to be able to do it all. But I am learning the importance if prioritizing. I cannot do it all. Nor is it my place to do it all. God has a specific call for me. I need to learn what us His leading and what is just me wanting to be the super hero.

Calling...
Ok, so in thinking about what to write about in this blog, I have decided to talk a bit about calling. Not the phone calling, but the calling God has put on each of our lives as Christians. Our mission of sorts.
We all have something that we are called to do.
Romans 12:4-8, "For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness."
There is a certain place that God calls each of us to. What God calls one person to, may not be what you are called to do. God created you for a specific purpose, and we all have a special job to do. How do you know what that job is? I would venture to say that deep down, you already know parts of it. But, to really find the spot God wants you in, you have to simply ask Him and seek Him in prayer.
So, what if you already know what God is leading you to do? What now? Maybe the task at hand looks impossible. I know for me personally, I know what God has called me to do, but I don't know all the details of how God's plan will unfold. It is definitely an act of faith in God to follow His leading. You won't know it all. I believe that God does that because, if He were to just dump all of the details in our laps, we would not be able to wrap our minds around it and get overwhelmed. Our part is not to try and tell God how we are going to do it, but to ask Him how He wants it done and take a step of faith and do it. God is faithful and will take care of the details if you just trust Him. 1 Thessalonians 5:24, "He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it."
